“Dry cleaning and laundry is in our blood. Long before Twin Oaks Cleaners our family has been involved in the cleaning business beginning with a washateria in East Houston. In 1954 John and Dorothy Middleton had the foresight to see that the back-alley corner at San Felipe and Willowick would be a good location for a laundry business. With the help of their children, Twin Oaks grew to 5 stores and over 80 employees. For 65 years Twin Oaks has remained with the same family. Three generations have been committed to carrying on the tradition of providing the best dry cleaning and laundry services in Houston.”

“Our approach is simple but proven…we never cut corners. There may be easier and more cost effective ways of providing cleaning but the results are NOT the same. At Twin Oaks your clothes will go through a 10 step process:

1. Your clothes are inspected before they ever leave the counter. We believe communication is key and the more information we gather from you the better.
2. We employ two professional spotters. With many decades of experience, our spotters know just the right formula to remove your stain without damaging the garment.
3. Sorting things out. Your clothes are sorted by weight, color, style and fabric.
4. We never reuse dirty solvent. It may be faster and cheaper to get a second or third load out of used, dirty solvent, but that will never be acceptable at Twin Oaks. Each load gets crystal clear solvent. And, in the laundry we carefully monitor and test the water and detergent your shirts are cleaned in to be sure that each load is perfect.
5. Your clothes are inspected once again after cleaning. If they don’t pass inspection they’re spotted and re-cleaned.
6. Next, your clothes are pressed and finished. We believe your suit or dress needs extra time and care during finishing.
7. Everything is inspected once again. Even after cleaning and pressing, if we feel it does not meet our standard we will start over.
8. All items are assembled with our semi-automated QuikSort system. This helps minimizes misplaced items.
9. Garments receive one final inspection before leaving our plant.
10. Finally, the orders are bagged and sent to you through our free delivery service or to one of our six stores.
